On Monday, the foundation students had three very special visitors from the S.E.S (State Emergency Service) Department. We learnt many new things from the S.E.S volunteers, such as how the S.E.S help in the community, what equipment they use and how they use it. Why it is important to have them in our community.
The foundation students got to see all the equipment and the truck they use.
Foundation’s also learnt that Victoria State Emergency Service is a volunteer-based organisation, providing emergency assistance to minimise the impact of emergencies and strengthen the community’s capacity to plan, respond and recover, when emergencies occur. We learnt this while reading our ‘Birdie and the flood’ book.
The Foundation students loved their little packs they got full of information and colouring pages.
